Privacy Policy

Effective date · 5 June 2026

Introduction

Jaimo ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information when you use our website, mobile app and AI content tools (together, the "Service").

The Service is provided by Jaimo Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number [company number to confirm]), registered office 25–29 Sandy Way, Yeadon, Leeds LS19 7EW, United Kingdom. Jaimo Ltd is the data controller responsible for your personal data. By using Jaimo, you agree to the terms described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us and information we generate automatically when you use the Service.

Account information

Your name, email address, payment details, subscription plan and any other details you give us when creating an account or joining the waitlist.

Content and usage data

Material you create inside Jaimo — scripts, hooks, Voice Profiles, content plans and settings — as well as information about how you interact with the Service.

Connected platform data

If you choose to connect a social account (for example, for Content Performance analytics), we access only the data needed to provide that feature, with your permission, and only for as long as you keep it connected. Connecting a social account is always optional.

Device and technical data

Your IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers and approximate location derived from your IP.

Communications

Records of your correspondence with us, such as support emails.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate and improve the Service
  • Process payments and manage your subscription
  • Personalise your experience, such as your Voice Profile
  • Respond to support enquiries
  • Send important Service updates, security alerts and administrative messages
  • Send marketing communications where you have agreed to receive them (you can opt out at any time)
  • Detect, prevent and address technical issues, fraud or abuse
  • Comply with our legal obligations

3. Our Legal Bases for Processing

Under the UK GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases to process your personal data:

  • Contract — to provide the Service you have signed up for and manage your subscription
  • Legitimate interests — to operate, secure and improve the Service in ways you would reasonably expect
  • Consent — for optional activities such as marketing emails or connecting a social account (you can withdraw consent at any time)
  • Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws, such as tax and accounting requirements

4. AI and Your Data

This section explains specifically how Jaimo handles the content you create:

  • Scripts, Voice Profiles, content drafts and any material you create inside Jaimo belong to you.
  • We do not sell your personal data or your content to anyone.
  • We do not use your content to train public AI models.
  • We process your content using trusted third-party AI providers (currently Anthropic) to deliver the Service. These providers operate under their own data processing agreements with Jaimo and do not use your content to train their public models.
  • We may use anonymised, aggregated usage patterns to improve our own systems. This data cannot be linked back to you.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in limited circumstances:

  • Service providers — trusted vendors who help us operate the Service (payment and subscription processors such as Stripe and RevenueCat, hosting, analytics and AI providers), bound by contract to handle your data securely.
  • Legal compliance — when required by law or in response to valid legal requests.
  • Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with the same protections described here.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, secured storage and limited access controls. No system is completely secure, but we take the protection of your data seriously and review our safeguards regularly.

7. Data Retention

We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes. When you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to keep certain records (for example, for tax or accounting purposes). Content you created may be deleted in line with our data retention practices following account closure.

8. Your Rights

If you are in the UK or EU, you have the following rights under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate information
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your personal data
  • Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
  • Objection — object to certain processing activities
  • Restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data
  • Withdraw consent — where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time

To exercise any of these rights, email support@jaimo.io. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.

Jaimo is available internationally. If you are located outside the UK or EU, you may have additional rights under the data protection laws of your own country — contact us and we will help where we can.

9. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember your preferences and understand usage. Where required, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can also manage cookie preferences through your browser settings — disabling some cookies may affect your experience.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside the UK and EU, including the United States. When we transfer data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. Children's Privacy

Jaimo is recommended for users aged 16 and over. We do not apply a strict age restriction, but Jaimo is not designed for young children. If you are under 18, you should use Jaimo with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data without appropriate consent, contact us and we will remove it.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised policy on our website with an updated effective date.
